Construction Waste Course

Construction Waste Training Tool Kit

Ecodemy is pleased to announce our latest course: Construction Waste

Did you know that as much as 30% of the new building materials delivered to a typical construction site can end up as waste? This course explores what construction waste is, outlining specific materials and their recyclability, regulations around construction waste and the recycling or repurchasing process of construction materials. In Canada, construction and demolition waste represent as much as 1/3 of municipal waste streams. Construction waste, often called construction and demolition materials, includes debris created from the renovation, demolition, or construction of buildings, roads, and bridges. This also includes materials displaced when preparing a site, like trees, stumps, rocks, and dirt. These are dredging materials and are most common at new construction sites. This Material Supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goals #11 and #13.
